Hot Packs

There are various techniques which are helpful in healing processes. Sometimes someone needs immediate treatment for some swelling or some pain i.e. muscle pull, cramps, or other things like that. In this situation if first aid is provided at once it makes the victim feel better and sometimes he recovers at the spot.

Usage of hot and cold pack is very common in different situations. The cold pack is used where some inflammation has occurred where the hot pack is effective when the victim is suffering from some pain. The hot pack reduces the severe ness of the pain and other aches of the body.

There are various kinds of hot cold packs but one thing must be kept in mind that these packs are used with extreme care because the carelessness can create some other problem and it may result into some infection. That’s why it is suggested that one should not use these packs if he has not proper knowledge of using them.

Before using the hot pack the safety precautions hot pack must be followed because it increases the chances of cure and it can sped up the healing processes. One more thing which should be kept in mind is that that these hot packs should not be used on an infected area because it can cause some problem.

For usage of hot packs in the case of emergency the first aid responder must know what chemicals are in a hot pack so that he can use that particular pack according to its prescribed area. The first aid responders can make their own hot and cold packs as well but they can also buy first aid hot and cold packs from the market which are easily available. There is a large variety of these hot packs and different companies manufacture them. The hot pack retains heat for a prescribed time i.e. it may vary from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending upon the chemicals used in a specific hot pack.

It is a question which arises in the mind of common people if they can make hot pack or not. And if they can then how to make a hot cold pack and how much time it will consume. Hence it must be brought to their knowledge that it is very easy to make a hot pack. You just need a bag like shaped gauze or anything similar to it and then you’ve to fill it with hot water and your hot pack is ready. There are different other more scientific hot packs available which you can make if you’ve more knowledge of chemistry and the chemicals used in treatments.

In this way, various hot packs can be designed for different areas of the body. Some are commonly used for example the back pain hot pack, it is very useful and used almost all over the world to reduce the sensation of back pain. It comforts the back of the person a lot within a few minutes.

Similarly you can get neck hot pack for the treatment of neck muscles. It reduces the aches which are caused by some sudden jerk or accident. The use of hot pack in cool down must be carefully applied because in case of negligence it may create some other problem for the victim. Sometimes the person can himself make a hot pack and use it on the affected area. The timing of using the hot pack is also quite important it should not prolong neither it should be used for a comparatively shorter period of time.
